Daniel Granger

President, ACJ Communication

Daniel has over 35 years of experience as an executive in both corporate and professional consulting environments, specializing in communications and public affairs. He manages mandates related to corporate positioning, strategic communications, crisis and issue management, internal communications, and public relations—particularly in the context of reorganizations, negotiations, disputes, labor conflicts, or legal proceedings.

As a consultant, he has worked with leadership teams of local, national, and international companies across various industries. From 1998 to 2001, he was a partner and Vice President of Technology Communications at a national public relations firm. From 2001 to 2003, he led the Quebec office of a global public relations firm serving Canadian, American, and multinational clients. Since 2003, he has been founder and President of ACJ Communication, a communications and public relations firm affiliated with a network of professionals based in Toronto, Edmonton, and Vancouver.

With his background and experience in labor relations, he has frequently planned and executed communication strategies and activities related to corporate reorganizations, downsizing, or employee unionization campaigns.

Previously, he held several positions at Hydro-Québec, including legal counsel, manager in environmental planning, government relations, and director of Communications and Public Affairs. He then joined Téléglobe Inc. as Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs during the company’s international expansion phase.

He is a board member and Secretary of the CRIM (Centre de recherche informatique de Montréal). He served as President of the Société des relationnistes du Québec (SRQ) from 1998 to 2001 and President of the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) in 2002–2003. Since 2016, he is President of the CPRS College of Fellows. He was President of the HEC-Paris Canada Group from 2005 to 2020 and has chaired the board of Special Olympics Québec since 2003. He was also a board member of Special Olympics Canada from 2014 to 2020.

Daniel has completed an ICD training, holds an MBA from HEC Paris in Jouy-en-Josas, the London Graduate School of Business Studies, and the Stern Graduate School of Business Administration at New York University. He earned a law degree from the Université de Montréal and is a member of the Barreau du Québec, which awarded him the Mérite Award in 2018. He has been a Member of the Order of Canada since 2018 and was named a Knight of the National Order of Québec in 2023.
