Michel Leblanc

Michel Leblanc is an engineer with over 30 years of experience in leading new product development in technology companies. Michel is currently the Director of Research and Development at EXFO, where he oversees the development of optical test and measurement instruments.
At EXFO, Michel has implemented best practices in governance and innovation management to maximize the alignment between technological development and market needs.
Throughout his career, he has worked at Bell-Northern Research, INO, and CIENA. Michel is well-acquainted with Canada’s photonics innovation ecosystem and is currently collaborating on research projects with several university research groups.
Michel is a member of the Order of Engineers, IEEE, Optica, and an associate member of COPL.
